This brief guide to the Technium network, and the services Swansea University can provide to support it, acts as an introduction to one of Wales' most forward-looking enterprises, where innovation is recognized as being the cornerstone of commercial success.
Technium is a technology-led incubation network, created in Swansea at the turn of the millennium and managed by the Welsh Assembly Government. The network turns ideas into action by providing a supportive environment in which companies can grow quickly while benefiting from technical and academic expertise.
Swansea University plays a key role in this innovative concept, led by the Institute of Innovation. Indeed, one of the Technium centres – Technium Digital – sits at the heart of the University’s campus.

The university provides expert academic and research support to Technium companies, particularly those in the south west Wales region. Technium Centres in the south west region include:
Technium Digital
Technium Digital @ Sony
Technium Pembrokeshire
Technium Performance Engineering
Techniun Sustainable Technologies
Technium Swansea (I & II)
There are three further centres: Technium CAST, Technium OpTIC and Technium Aberystwyth.
For further information on each of these centres, including location maps and full contact details, click onto the main Technium website at www.technium.co.uk.
