Swansea University - Graduates

Graduates

Our services for graduates

Graduates and diplomates from any university have access to our support group services, and we can help those who are unemployed, under-employed and employed but wanting to develop their career.

If you are living in Wales you can join the Graduate Support Group for free information, advice and guidance. Funded with the assistance of HEFCW, the European Social Fund and the Adult Guidance Initiative, the group offers individual advice and guidance with support for CV preparation and job search strategies. Members are also entitled to free telephone, fax, photocopying, postage and internet access in the Careers Centre; workshops are organised regularly.

Call in at the Centre today, or telephone to make an appointment on +44 (0)1792 513266.

For Swansea graduates who have returned home, ring the special graduate help-line 0800 0521275 or email us at graduate-careers@swansea.ac.uk.

You will also find it useful to contact the University or HE College Careers Services in your home area; some will have graduate support groups similar to the one in Swansea and most will allow you to use their information services.

Prospects Graduate Advice offers free, personalised advice services for EEA nationals, who have graduated from university within the last five years and are seeking advice on work and study in the UK.

Regional graduate services:  The Graduate Prospects website also includes a link to regional graduate services in the UK and Republic of Ireland to help ou find out what help is available from your own university careers service and university careers services near your home.

Have a look at graduate job vacancies on the Graduate Prospects website where you can search for opportunities both by job category and by location.  You can also search comprehensive employer profiles on this site.

Our role is to help you to get a good graduate job - however you define that - and for some of you there will be intermediate aims such as student jobs, vacation work and placements, postgraduate study or taking time out.
