The Research Centres are frameworks that enable and support research activities in areas where Swansea enjoys a concentration of academic interest and expertise. There are three main aims: to foster research programmes that bring together research students and staff in ways that would not otherwise be possible; to facilitate major research bids for external funding across the School; and to increase the international visibility and reputation of the School and its scholars.
