Information on the Erasmus Exchange programme

What is Erasmus?

Erasmus is the European Commission's educational programme for Higher Education students, teachers and institutions. It was introduced in 1987 with the aim of increasing student mobility within the European Community.
Erasmus is one of the four sectoral programmes supported under the Lifelong Learning Programme (2007-2013). The programme is managed in the UK by the British Council .

The Erasmus scheme supports study and work placements for students as well as Teacher and Administrative Staff Mobility.
