Swine flu information

Overview

Swansea University has a well-developed pandemic flu plan which it is following. Consistent with that plan, posters about hygiene precautions are now being distributed and displayed throughout campus.

The University's EMT will continue to communicate with staff and students on a regular basis and will update the University website with information as and when needed.

CATCH IT. BIN IT. KILL IT.

Swine flu information

The UK has been preparing for a flu pandemic for the last five years, working with agencies at local, regional and national level. The Government has established a stockpile of enough antivirals to treat more than 33 million people.

All NHS organisations have pandemic flu plans in place and the Department of Health is now working closely with the NHS to ensure that these plans can be put into action so that the antivirals can be made available to the public very rapidly should we reach that stage.
