The University has a well established Equal Opportunities Committee that strives to monitor and consider ways of extending equal opportunities in relation to staff and students. This committee reports directly to the University Management Board. The Equal Opportunities Committee (EOC) meets three times per annum (once each academic term) and produces a set of minutes following each of the meetings.
Each year the EOC compiles its Annual Equal Opportunities Report that provides a summary of the work undertaken and progress made with regards to race, gender, disability and age. This information also includes detailed staff and student statistics. By using this information, positive action equality targets have been set and are monitored annually.
