The Framework Agreement was implemented from 1 August 2007.

Appeals against implementation were submitted by December 2007 and have been addressed as follows:

Administrative, Professional and Managerial Staff and Technical Staff appeals were heard by panels of 4 (2 from the Trade Union side and 2 from the management side) during 2008 and completed in June 2009

Operations and Facilities Staff appeals completed in June 2009

Academic Staff appeals against assimilation to the National Role Profiles completed by the end of May 2009

Recruitment and Selection procedures at the University have changed since the implementation of the Framework Agreement and the process is that all new posts are graded prior to advertising.

A process for support staff and Teaching and Scholarship and Research staff to apply for a promotion has been agreed and implemented since September 2009.  This is for staff whose jobs have changed since the implementation of the Framework Agreement
